🧶 What You’ll Need:
Yarn:
Yellow (centre)
White (petals)
Green (stem + optional leaf) – 8 ply cotton works best
Hook: 4.0 mm
Extras: Yarn needle, scissors, floral wire or pipe cleaner (for a structured stem)
🌸 Crochet Daisy Pattern
Flower Centre (Yellow):
Make a magic ring.
Ch 1, work 10 sc into the ring.
Sl st to first sc. Fasten off.
Petals (White):
Attach white yarn to any stitch.
(Ch 3, 1 dc, 1 hdc, ch 2, sl st) in the same stitch – that’s one petal.
Repeat in each stitch around (10 petals total).
Sl st to the base of the first petal. Fasten off and weave in ends.
🌿 Stem (Green):
Sturdy Version (with wire):
Cut floral wire about 25 cm long.
Ch 35–40 (long enough to cover the wire).
Turn, sl st in each ch.
Wrap the chain around the wire and stitch closed to form a tube.
Sew or glue securely to the back of the flower.
Soft Version (no wire):
Ch 35.
Turn, sl st back across.
Attach to flower. (Note: This version won’t stand upright but works well for flat arrangements.)
🍃 Optional Leaf:
Ch 7.
In 2nd ch: sc, hdc, dc, dc, hdc, sc.
Shape and sew to stem.
